02 Dec 3 Easy Ways to Fund Your Dream Wedding
I know I’m not supposed to be doing this blog because I’ve got so many things to do; because today is my, *drum rolls* wedding day! Yay! I’m so excited, and nervous, and thrilled all at the same time. (Future bride-to-be’s, feel free to leave a comment and share your sentiments!) So I thought it’s just fitting if I write something about wedding-related stuff (and to somehow ease my mind off the wedding jitters).
I could give you some saving tips on how you can minimise the cost of your wedding, or share to you some trending wedding ideas, but you could easily search that on Pinterest. I thought I’d give you something more valuable and provide you helpful information. Every woman had desired her dream wedding. I believe there are some women who had already planned their wedding- from reception, to decorations and everything in between– even before there was a groom! The preparation just seems to get exciting but a lot of bride-to-be’s tend to disregard their wedding budget.
The truth is, you can actually have your dream wedding no matter how much your budget is. You are going to marry the love of your life so you want to make sure everything is perfect. You just have to save wisely and set your priorities straight. Not an easy thing to do but it’s worth it! You’re worried you might go over budget? Hint: wedding loan.
Actually, to set things straight, there’s no such thing as a “wedding loan.” You can’t just walk into a bank and ask for a wedding loan. I’m talking about using a personal loan for the purpose of funding your wedding, but just for this blog, let’s stick with the term. I have access to bankers and lenders who offer competitive deals. As your finance broker, what I can do for you is to compare all the available rates, fit this with your financial situation and help you secure a personal loan at a most competitive deal with your chosen lender.
What are your wedding loan options?
So how do we exactly do this? Just like any other loan application, I’m going to require some documents (document requirements may vary depending on the lender) but no worries, I assure you I’ll be doing all the necessary legwork so your focus is solely on your wedding preparations.
There are quite a few wedding loan options you can choose from which will depend on your current financial situation, your credit standing, and/or how are you going to use the loan.
Take a look at these options:
- Personal Loan
As the name suggests, personal loan lets you finance personal items for your wedding. This is usually an unsecured loan since this has no restrictions in terms of the usage of the amount. You can purchase your wedding rings, book your reception, or even pay your band’s talent fee. You also have the option of getting a variable and fixed rate loan.
- Credit card
Got a credit card with a competitive interest rate? Then this option could be for you. You could buy some of your wedding materials using a 0% p.a. purchase card or if you accumulate debt on it, you can transfer the debt over to a 0% p.a. balance transfer credit card. Of course, always consider your limit.
- Bad credit personal loans
Has your bank said ‘no’ because of your not-so-pleasant credit standing? I published an article before discussing loan options for people with bad credit. This is also the same for this particular purpose. Good news is, you can still have your dream wedding if you are in the same situation! Some lenders look pass through the credit standing and just consider your current financial capabilities.
With these loan options available, you can have your dream wedding without worrying about the finances!
Your full financial needs and requirements need to be assessed prior to any offer or acceptance of a loan product.
